“My name is Jennifer, and I’m a fourth-year university student at MIT. I am studying biological engineering and brain and cognitive sciences, and I currently conduct research in a lab investigating functional magnetic resonance imaging (fMRI) as a tool for mapping brain activity. After I graduate from MIT, I hope to become a physician and help provide care to patients. For three weeks at OGT, I will be teaching topics in both biology and chemistry. I am very excited to learn more about the OGT community and to explore the neighboring cities and broader German culture as a whole.”

“My name is Ruth Shiferaw, and I’m a second-year student at MIT. I study mechanical engineering, and I’ve done research on bio-adhesives and prosthetic knees at university. I hope to work in a robotics, medical device, or energy company when I graduate. I look forward to teaching math, physics, and English here at the Ostsee-Gymnasium, as well as exploring the area and immersing myself in German culture!”
